GoToWebinar is a webinar hosting platform owned by GoTo (formerly LogMeIn). Its scripts embed registration forms, event countdown widgets, and live attendee join interfaces on event landing pages. GoToWebinar is used by marketing, training, and events teams to host and promote webinar-based content to both prospects and customers.

What This Script Does

GoToWebinar's embeddable components load on event landing pages:

• Registration forms: Collects attendee contact details (name, email, company, job title, and custom fields) and submits them to GoToWebinar's registration servers. Confirmed registrants receive email confirmations with join links.
• Event widgets: Displays countdown timers, event descriptions, and speaker information. Renders "Join Now" buttons for live events that redirect to GoToWebinar's hosted attendee interface.
• Cookies: May set cookies to track registration source attribution (UTM parameters, referrer), prevent duplicate registrations, and manage session state during the registration flow.
• Engagement tracking: During live events, tracks attendee engagement metrics — attendance duration, poll responses, chat participation, and question submissions. This data is available to the host for follow-up segmentation.
• Marketing integration: Registration and attendance data can be synced to connected CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo) for lead scoring and follow-up campaigns.
